Artist - Czechoslovakia Powers
Born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1965, I grew up drawing and painting. He studied Fine Art at the Memphis College of Art, including graphc design and intensive instruction in life drawing and painting classes in traditional oil painting techniques. I studied a number of artists who utilized light, shapes, forms and images, in their painted works such as Picasso, Modigliani and Rubin and attempted to fuse such styles together with my own interest. I have been working as a graphic artist in Memphis for the past twelve years. I paints in my spare time and tries to keep up with what's current in computers and computer graphics.

My style is constantly evolving and changing along with my artistic influences, subject interests and medium explorations but I feel my paintings share a common aesthetic flavor.
I understand painting as a means of transforming life as it is represented through nature and to give art its true form for the world to observe and enjoy. In order to achieve this goal, I have committed myself religiously to my work of creating nature on canvas, showing abstract with realism. Therefore, nothing is more important in my career as an artist - as to reinforce the love of nature to humanity, I feel an intimacy, a brotherhood between the human race and mother nature which give me an insight on life.
The legacy of my work is mostly concentrated on nature and light, in its true form, that are able to reach out and caress that special part of humanity, its inner soul, and spirit that needs to cohere with nature, not only a pleasure to look upon, but will arouse curiosity about nature itself, captured in her true pride, her determination, her gentleness, and even her despairs. Represented on a symbolic level of gracious recognition, greatly magnified to a level, focusing on the constructed shapes, forms and images that give movement and birth to nature, painted in natural or false colors, with little or no manifestation of the human contour, almost hypnotically detailed.
The unique size of my work will allow you to view nature at a close range, causing its exceptions to escape no one.
Thank God, for my desires to share this experience and hopefully I achieve my goal, to become a master at proficiency and to obtain the expert skills to create what my inner eye sees and share it to the world.
